The Fund Development Manager serves as TICs lead fundraiser, responsible for designing and executing a comprehensive development strategy that expands and diversifies the organizations funding base. This includes securing institutional grants, cultivating major donors, and building strategic partnerships. This role is well suited for a development professional with strong leadership and organizational skills and demonstrated success in fundraising. The Fund Development Manager works in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment and balances strategic planning with hands- on donor engagement and grant development activities. As TIC enters a pivotal phase of growth, the organization is seeking to reduce its reliance on federal grants and increase philanthropic and private sector support. The Fund Development Manager will play a key role in supporting this shift by strengthening fundraising systems, expanding donor relationships, and contributing to the long-term sustainability of TIC in service to the Urban Native American community. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: 1\. Strategy & Leadership a\. Design and lead a diversified fundraising strategy aligned with TICs organizational structure, in consultation with the Executive Director. b\. Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify and cultivate key funding relationships. c\. Support Executive Director in partnership meetings, strategic planning and fundraising initiatives. d\. Oversee and optimize all fundraising and sponsorship grant processes and procedures, including implementing SOPs, guides, and processes to improve internal operations. e\. Works with the Finance Director to ensure compliance with grant and contract rules and regulations and reporting requirements. 2\. Grant Writing & Institutional Fundraising a\. Write and submit compelling grant proposals and reports for foundation, corporate, and government funders. b\. Manage relationships with funders and oversee compliance and stewardship. 3\. Major Donor Cultivation a\. Identify, cultivate, and solicit high-net-worth individuals and philanthropic partners. b\. Build and manage a personal portfolio of top prospective donors. 4\. Communications & Representation a\. Develop tailored pitch decks, one-pagers, collateral, and cases for support. b\. Represent TIC, or support TIC representation, at high-level meetings and philanthropic convenings. c\. Guide follow up communications with prospective funders. 5\. Internal Coordination a\. Partner with Finance and Programs to ensure alignment between fundraising goals and operational capacity. b\. Maintain accurate records and pipeline forecasts using CRM tools. 6\. Other duties a\. Required Knowledge, Skill and Ability: Demonstrated ability to fundraise independently and secure new institutional and individual support. Exceptional written communication and proposal writing skills. Strong organizational, analytical, critical-thinking, and prioritization abilities. Excellent proactive communication and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with technology platforms such as ASANA and SharePoint. Strong presentation skills and ability to engage diverse audiences. Commitment to TICs mission and familiarity with Native American communities, issues, and public health (preferred). Performance-driven mindset with a history of achieving fundraising goals. Experience with budgeting and basic knowledge of auditing policies. Professional and culturally sensitive demeanor.
