This role sits within a financial reporting team focused on mutual funds, ETFs, and collective investment trusts. It involves reviewing investment holdings and derivatives, validating valuation data, and helping prepare accurate financial statements and regulatory filings.
The position provides exposure to the full fund lifecycle, including audit support, valuation review, and collaboration with internal teams and external service providers. It also includes opportunities to improve reporting processes through automation and efficiency initiatives.

Hybrid role based in Chicago with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday.


Key Responsibilities
  • Review fund portfolios, including complex securities and derivatives, for accuracy and compliance
  • Reconcile financial statements and supporting reports with accounting records and filings
  • Assist with pricing and valuation processes, including hierarchy classification and escalation issues
  • Support audits by coordinating with auditors, subadvisors, and confirmation processes
  • Prepare reports and supporting materials for boards, auditors, and management
  • Monitor pricing exceptions such as stale or manually priced securities
  • Assist with required regulatory filings
  • Handle data requests from vendors, administrators, and subadvisors
  • Review NAV calculations and resolve breaks or discrepancies
  • Compile recurring reporting packages
  • Support process improvements and automation efforts
  • Participate in ad hoc analysis and special projects


Requirements
  • 1–3 years of fund accounting or financial reporting experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • CPA track or CPA preferred
  • Strong Excel and analytical abilities;Power BI/Tableau a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Able to manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently and in teams
  • Quick to learn new systems and regulatory frameworks
