We are hiring for a Functional Analyst opportunity.

Role: Functional Analyst

Location: Boston, MA 02110 (Onsite)

Work Schedule: 9 Hours per Day

Important Requirements:

• Candidates must be local to the Boston, MA area or willing to relocate from Day 1. No exceptions.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Functional Analyst with experience supporting enterprise software projects in large organizations. The ideal candidate will work closely with functional managers, business stakeholders, development teams, and QA teams to document business requirements, create functional designs, support Agile delivery, and validate implemented solutions. This role requires excellent communication, documentation, organization, and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly with the Functional Manager to support project delivery while following established processes and quality standards
• Create Functional Design Documents (FDD), user stories, process flows, and supporting documentation
• Document meeting minutes, action items, and decisions from functional design sessions
• Prepare presentation materials using Microsoft PowerPoint and FigJam for stakeholder workshops
• Collaborate with business users, developers, QA teams, and project stakeholders to clarify functional requirements
• Support development teams by answering functional questions and providing business context
• Perform functional validation and quality checks after solution implementation
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) planning and execution
• Coordinate with multiple project teams while managing competing priorities
• Maintain organized project documentation and ensure timely communication across teams
• Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage project artifacts, user stories, and requirements when applicable

Required Skills:

• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting large enterprise organizations or multi team projects
• Bachelor''s degree required
• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Copilot
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong collaboration and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization abilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Excellent computer and documentation skills

Preferred Skills:

• Experience using Jira
• Experience using Confluence
• Experience creating Functional Design Documents
• Experience writing User Stories
• Experience preparing process flows and business documentation
• Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing
• Familiarity with FigJam
