Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Responsibilities
- Assist Physical Therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans
- Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training to patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery
- Monitor patient progress and document treatment outcomes accurately
- Educate patients and families on exercises, safety precautions, and rehabilitation techniques
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Utilize rehabilitation equipment and modalities safely and effectively
- Maintain a positive, compassionate, and professional approach with patients and staff
PTA Qualifications & Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Active North Dakota PTA license
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred
- Previous rehabilitation or therapy experience preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
- Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
