This position is ideal for an MLT professional seeking a stable day shift laboratory role with opportunities to expand their experience in a collaborative clinical environment. Job Responsibilities
Perform laboratory testing and analysis across multiple departments including hematology, chemistry, microbiology, blood bank, and urinalysis
Prepare and process patient specimens while ensuring proper identification and specimen integrity
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment
Analyze laboratory results and report findings accurately and efficiently
Follow established laboratory procedures, safety protocols, and quality control standards
Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records
Assist with troubleshooting laboratory equipment and resolving testing issues
Support laboratory quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and healthcare staff regarding laboratory results
Contribute to efficient daily laboratory operations as a generalist across multiple testing areas
Education Requirements
Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related laboratory science field from an accredited program
Certification Requirements
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician through the American Society for Clinical Pathology or equivalent certifying organization
MLT (ASCP) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory environment
Knowledge of hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and blood bank testing procedures
Experience operating automated laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate laboratory testing
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with healthcare team members
