Job Summary:

  • C&C Cleaning Services  is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Facility Maintenance Technician to provide general maintenance and upkeep of school district facilities. This role is a full time position working Monday through Friday. 8am-5pm. The technician will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure that school buildings, grounds, and equipment are kept in optimal working condition as well as janitorial duties as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general building maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and painting work.
  • Inspect and maintain HVAC, lighting, and plumbing systems to ensure they are operating efficiently.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and work orders from school administrators and staff in a timely manner.
  • ensuring that walkways and parking lots are free of debris.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining furniture and equipment for events, classrooms, or activities.
  • Ensure the safety of students and staff by maintaining safe and clean environments both indoors and outdoors.
  • Replace or repair light bulbs, filters, and other necessary supplies.
  • Monitor and report any safety hazards, damages, or needed repairs to supervisors.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in proper working order.
  • Assist with seasonal maintenance tasks, such as snow removal in the winter months.
  • Adhere to all school district policies, safety regulations, and best practices related to facility maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certifications in facility maintenance is a plus.
  • Previous experience in facilities maintenance, general construction, or related fields preferred.
  • Ability to perform light plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repairs.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to maintenance work.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage time efficiently.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with school staff and administrators.
  • Must have the physical ability to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting, bending, and operating machinery.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be responsive to school district needs.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, climbing ladders, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
