Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM)

Potomac Podiatry Group, PLLC-home to Crofton Foot and Ankle and Annapolis Foot and Ankle-is seeking a highly skilled and patient‑focused Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to join our fast‑paced, team‑oriented practice. This full-time role is based at our Crofton and Annapolis, Maryland locations and offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team across our five offices.

Education Requirements

  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) from an accredited School of Podiatric Medicine
  • Completion of a CPME-accredited Podiatric Medicine & Surgery Residency (PMSR), preferably with RRA certification
  • Additional fellowship training (optional but strongly preferred)

Certification & Professional Affiliations

  • Board Qualified or Board Certified by:
    • American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS), and/or
    • American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM)
  • Active state licensure (or eligibility) for Maryland
  • Membership in professional associations (APMA, ACFAS, etc.) preferred
  • Current BLS and/or ACLS certifications

Surgical & Nonsurgical Expertise

Candidates should demonstrate strong clinical and surgical competency in:

  • Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery
  • Forefoot and Rearfoot Procedures
  • Sports Medicine–related conditions
  • Arthritic and Degenerative Joint Management
  • Tendon Repairs and Soft Tissue Procedures
  • Fracture Care (Foot & Ankle)
  • Diabetic Limb Preservation & Wound Management
  • Routine and Complex Foot and Ankle Pathologies
  • Nail Disorders, Dermatologic Conditions, and Biomechanics

Preferred Clinical Specialties

  • Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Repair
  • Trauma & Fracture Management
  • Flatfoot Reconstruction
  • Tendon and Ligament Disorders
  • Heel Pain & Plantar Fasciitis
  • Nail and Skin Pathology
  • Pediatric Foot Conditions
  • Diabetic Foot Care & Amputation Prevention

Hospital & Surgical Center Affiliations

  • Eligibility for credentialing with regional hospitals and/or ambulatory surgical centers
  • Experience working within multi-specialty or orthopedic environments is a plus
  • Willingness to take call as assigned
