POSITION TITLE: Cashier/Customer Service Representative/Delivery Driver

MANAGER’S POSITION: Cashier Supervisor

To perform the duties of greeting customers, helping customers locate products, aiding the pharmacy staff with RX and OTC pickups, calling customers for RX and OTC pickups, and support the pharmacy staff in all store functions, operating by our company core values of:

Technical Work Listing: This position is responsible for the following tactical work:

  1. Customer Service Representative

    1. Immediately Greet and welcome all customers as soon as they walk in

    2. Offer customers Smiles and Solutions

    3. Answer the phone within 2 rings

    4. Say your name when answering the phone

    5. Call all customers back within 24 hours

    6. Gather all OTC products for a customer’s order if needed

    7. Call all customers with a new prescription or if their prescription has a problem or is on order

    8. Accurately process all deliveries, mail prescriptions, and suspended tickets

    9. Accurately process all delivery money that comes back in for orders

    10. Accurately post all payments to charge accounts

    11. Mail all pharmacy charge statements when due

    12. Order OTC products and pull any out-dates as needed

    13. Close out and Count registers on a daily basis

    14. Combine RX bags with same customer names

    15. Accurately give RXs to customers

    16. Help customers in getting OTC products

    17. Order any OTC product that is requested by a customer

    18. Clean the store when needed (vacuuming, sweeping, etc.)

    19. Water all flowers outside

    20. Replace any needed light bulbs inside or out

    21. Replace air filters as needed

    22. Play an active role in marketing incentives and sales goals 

    23. Turn radio on and make sure the music is playing throughout the day

    24. Help with vaccinations (refilling supplies, filling out forms, etc.)

    25. Aid in decorating the store for holidays

    26. Perform tasks as delegated by the Store Manager or Cashier Supervisor

  2. Delivery Driver

    1. Greet delivery customers with a smile and be courteous to them

    2. Accurately and efficiently deliver all pharmacy products

    3. Keep a log of when a delivery was made, what was in the delivery, and whom is was given to

    4. Occasionally pick up items needed by the pharmacy at other businesses as needed

    5. Keep a log of miles driven and regular maintenance to delivery vehicle

    6. Schedule regular maintenance to delivery vehicles and make necessary vehicle drop offs to have maintenance done to include cleaning.

    7. Keep vehicle full of gas for the next delivery day

    8. Start deliveries at 10am 

    9. Every effort should be made to complete deliveries before 6pm

    10. Keep a close allocation of delivery vehicle keys as to prevent lockouts

    11. Use company cell phone (and keep phone on at all times) for communication with pharmacy department

Position Specific:

  1. Make customers feel welcome and appreciated with smiles and solutions

  2. Customers should be addressed immediately upon entering

  3. Arrive on time for work

  4. Smock and name tag should be worn at all times (except Fridays for smock)

  5. Constantly communicate with customers and pharmacy staff about RX and OTC products
