Duration: 12+ months

Full-Stack Engineer - Media Operations (70% Frontend / 30% Java)
  • We are looking for a Frontend-heavy Full-Stack Engineer to build the mission-critical interfaces and orchestration tools that power Client Original Content. In this role, you will bridge the gap between massive media datasets and the studio teams who
    manage them.
  • You'll work alongside senior engineers and architects, contributing deep implementation expertise while taking ownership of the code you ship.
  • We are not looking for "task-doers" who simply check off tickets.
  • We need analytical thinkers who go above and beyond to understand the "why" behind the system, proactively identifying bottlenecks in the media pipeline before they become outages.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advanced UI Orchestration: Build sophisticated, state-heavy applications using React and TypeScript. You will build interfaces that manage catalogs, availability windows, and technical specifications for content across Sports, TV, and Music.
  • Systems & Data Integration: Maintain and extend a robust Java backend, working within established architectural patterns. You will manage data persistence across PostgreSQL for relational metadata and NoSQL solutions for high-throughput logging and asset state tracking.
  • AI-Augmented Development: Leverage Generative AI to reduce developer toil and amplify focus on complex problems. We expect engineers who use AI to generate documentation, build comprehensive test coverage, and
understand intricate architectures - freeing up time to tackle the challenging problems that truly require human insight.
  • Analytical Problem Solving: Analyze complex content assembly pipelines. You are expected to dive deep into the "plumbing," using data to inform implementation decisions, recommend improvements, and contribute to the 99.99%
    reliability of our media egress.

Tech Stack
  • React & TypeScript: This is the primary driver for "Advanced UI Orchestration." You'll need deep knowledge of state management (Redux, Recoil, or React Query) to handle complex, real-time media metadata.
  • Java & Spring Boot: For the 30% backend, you need a firm grasp of the JVM ecosystem to maintain robust microservices that handle content availability and asset state tracking.
  • PostgreSQL & NoSQL (e.g., Cassandra or MongoDB): You must be comfortable with dual-database strategies—using SQL for relational content metadata (catalogs) and NoSQL for high-throughput logging and asset status.
  • Distributed Systems / Orchestration: Since the role involves "media egress" and "content assembly pipelines," familiarity with tools like Kafka (for event streaming) or Airflow/Temporal (for workflow orchestration) is vital.
  • GenAI Tooling (Prompt Engineering/LLMs): The role explicitly asks for "AI-Augmented Development." You need proficiency in using tools like GitHub Copilot or LLM APIs to automate boilerplate, testing, and documentation.

The Ideal Candidate Profile
  • We are looking for a Systems-Thinking Product Engineer. This person isn't just a UI developer; they are an engineer who understands how a button click on the frontend triggers a cascade of events across a global media pipeline.
  • The "Why" Specialist: They don't just fix a bug; they find out why the bug existed in the pipeline architecture and suggest a systemic fix.
  • Media-Savvy: Ideally, they understand the nuances of digital assets—things like "availability windows," "codecs," or "DRM," or at least have the curiosity to learn the domain deeply.
  • High-Reliability Mindset: They treat 99.99% uptime as a personal challenge. They value automated testing and observability (telemetry) over "move fast and break things.
