The product provides data insights that fuel learning & development research, generating unique insights that enable Amazon to methodically evolve its talent strategy. Talent Alchemy assists employees in gathering feedback on themselves and their direct reports, while also powering formal development efforts hosted by learning programs across the company.

A day in the life

You will work as a full-stack developer (70% frontend facing features / 30% backend) building responsive JavaScript web applications with modern frameworks, like React, while using technologies including Java microservices in a distributed service-oriented architecture, AWS technologies (Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis). This is a hands-on role with the expectation of significant time spent coding and contributing directly to the product.

You will be involved in every aspect of the process-from idea generation and business analysis through technical design and software development. Your systems will meet remarkably high standards of performance and reliability, operating at massive scale, 24x7. You will have a system-wide, architectural view of the solutions you build, with the responsibility, authority, and autonomy to ensure success.
