Full Charge Bookkeeper | Construction Company

ARC Group is currently recruiting for a construction firm in Jacksonville, FL 32256 seeking a Bookkeeper with experience in Viewpoint Spectrum ERP. This is an on-site role supporting full-cycle accounting operations within a fast-paced commercial construction environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Accounts Payable experience, solid bookkeeping skills, and a working knowledge of construction accounting and job costing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
  • Code invoices to job cost codes, phases, and general ledger accounts
  • Process vendor, subcontractor, and supplier invoices accurately and on time
  • Prepare weekly check runs and ACH payments
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain organized financial and compliance documentation (contracts, invoices, lien records)
  • Support job cost accounting and project financial tracking
  • Assist with month-end close and general ledger entries
  • Prepare journal entries and financial reporting support
  • Monitor AR aging and assist with collections
  • Assist with subcontractor pay applications and progress billing (AIA G702/G703 preferred)
  • Support bank reconciliations and cash management functions
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and accounting compliance tasks

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (AP-focused preferred)
  • Experience in construction accounting required or strongly preferred
  • Hands-on experience with Viewpoint Spectrum ERP (preferred) or similar systems (Sage 100 / Sage 300 Contractor)
  • Strong understanding of job costing and cost code structures
  • Experience with vendor compliance documentation (W-9s, COIs, lien waivers)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)
