We are seeking a Fulfillment Operations Supervisor to help oversee the daily operations of pharmacy fulfillment for a well-established and growing direct-to-patient healthcare company. The Supervisor will manage a team of pharmacy technicians, providing hands-on training, coaching, and performance oversight to ensure consistency in operational standards and procedures.

You will support the accurate and timely fulfillment of prescription and non-prescription medications, promote a team-oriented work culture centered on quality, safety, and efficiency. You will work to streamline fulfillment operations and ensure optimal performance, maintaining a continuous improvement mindset. This role is essential to the success of fulfillment operations and will ensure compliance and readiness for inspections.

The Fulfillment Operations Supervisor will:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of pharmacy technicians through hands-on support, real-time feedback, and clear performance expectations.
  • Own technician onboarding, training, and ongoing skills development to ensure strong SOP adherence and consistent execution.
  • Support scheduling and staffing to maintain adequate coverage and smooth workflow across all shifts.
  • Oversee end-to-end fulfillment activities (picking, packing, shipping) to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on-time order completion.
  • Serve as the primary on-the-floor contact for daily operational issues, escalating to pharmacy leadership as needed.
  • Partner with pharmacists and cross-functional teams (operations, care, product) to quickly resolve order and shipping issues.
  • Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy automation equipment to maintain throughput and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, reinforcing adherence to all standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying workflow gaps and helping implement process and operational enhancements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspection-ready environment aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Step in to support order processing and technician tasks as needed to meet volume and service goals.
  • Perform additional operational duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • California Pharmacy Technician license is required.
  • At least 2 years of people-management experience in a high-volume setting (operations, fulfillment, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, or similar), including coaching, performance evaluations, and day-to-day performance management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team in a fast-paced fulfillment environment.
  • Empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
  • Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills, particularly under time pressure.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and compliance.
  • Comfort working with automation and technology-enabled workflows.
  • Proactive, improvement-focused mindset with experience contributing to cross-functional problem solving.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a highly collaborative working style.
