Job Description:

As a procurement specialist you will support the procurement process by placing and tracking purchasing orders, communicating with supplies, and helping to ensure materials are delivered on time to meet production needs..
What do we want to know about you?
Bachelors degree in supply chain, operations, or business (preferred) or high school diploma with at least 2 years of experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel)
Experience utilizing and ERP system (Oracle Preferred)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
What will your typical day look like?
Create and update purchase orders to support production.
Track supplier deliveries and follow up on order status.
Communicate delivery updates to internal teams.
Support supplier communication for order confirmations and shipment tracking.
Assist with resolving basic supplier issues (late deliveries, invoice discrepancies, etc.)
Help manage schedule changes and adjust orders accordingly.
Work with cross-functional teams (planning, engineering, quality) to support material availability.
Identify simple process improvement opportunities.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Employee is required to do minimal walking.
Employee is required to wear Wabtec required PPE when necessary.

You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
