Job SummaryCircle K is looking for a Supply Optimization Coordinator reporting to the Director of Supply Optimization. This role will provide day-to-day operational support related to fuel supply and purchasing as well as ensuring delivery of specialty products to retail sites. Activities include allocation management system set up delivery coordination optimization analysis and communication of supply issues and tactics. Engagement with fuel suppliers is a critical component of the role which provides a great commercial developmental opportunity for the right candidate to grow within the Global Fuels organization.Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe position includes but is not limited to the following essential job duties responsibilities and requirementsBuild and maintain a strong relationship with a network of fuel suppliers in a designated territoryDevelop and implement fuel procurement strategies supply optimization to secure the lowest costs fuel in the marketAssist with inventory management & movement of bulk supply in assigned regionMonitor Nymex and other market tools daily to make optimal fuel buying decisionsNegotiate delivered in deals and collaborate in securing excess truck capacityRelay local market intel to trading and marketing departmentCollaborate with Logistics in locating best supply pointcost during supply disruptions or arbitrage opportunitiesEducationExperiencePetroleum industry and supply chain knowledge preferredBachelors degree in business economics engineering or related discipline is preferred.Proficiency in Excel familiarity with ETRM systems a plus.CompetenciesSkillsAbility to negotiate favorable deals and termsKnowledge of fuel pricing and contract mechanics such as PLATTS OPIS and ARGUSUnderstand market timing and fundamentals that move rack pricesOn call weekends and after normal business hoursProficiency in Microsoft Office Word and ExcelExcellent communication skills and ability to have dialog with the counterparty.A strong ability to ensure data accuracy and perform tasks accurately and on time.
