The Charles Lea Center is a national leader in supported living services, empowering men and women with disabilities to live independently and pursue lives filled with purpose, dignity, and connection.
We don't believe in one-size-fits-all care. We customize supports and programs around each individual's unique goals, interests, and dreams. For many of the people we serve, this may be the first time they are living on their own - and we're honored to walk alongside them on that journey.
With the help of innovative technology and compassionate professionals, we provide the right level of support to promote independence, confidence, and growth.
As part of our Direct Support Team, you are more than a caregiver - you are a mentor, advocate, teacher, and champion of independence.
You will:
Support individuals in daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, personal care, transportation)
Provide supervision that ensures health, safety, and accountability
Teach life skills that promote self-sufficiency and confidence
Encourage participation in community activities and social engagement
Help individuals achieve personal goals and explore their interests
Communicate with families and team members in a supportive, professional manner
Work under the guidance of a Program Manager while taking ownership of meaningful daily interactions
Every day looks different. One day you may be helping someone master a new cooking skill. The next, you may be supporting someone in landing a job or exploring a new hobby. The impact you make is immediate and life changing.
We are dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous growth, diversity and inclusion, and promoting a healthy work-life balance. Our organization is committed to supporting your success from the very beginning.
