Current Position Openings - FT Groundskeeper 700 am - 330 pm -- 2 positions available Position Title FT Groundskeeper 700 am - 330 pm -- 2 positions available Position Classification Full-Time Classified Minimum Position Qualifications Education - High School Graduate Experience - Three 3 years appropriate work experience Skills - Knowledge of general grounds keeping methods Position Responsibilities Cuts lawns using hand power mower or riding mower Responsible for trimming and edging around walks flower beds and walls using clippers and edging tools Collects and removes garbage from outside containers parking lots and perimeter of campus property Prunes shrubs and trees using power tools hand tools and chain saws Cuts down trees and shreds branches using a power shredder Sprays lawn shrubs and trees with fertilizer or insecticide Rakes leaves and cleans or sweeps up litter using rake or broom Shovels snow from walks and driveways using trucks riding mowers or snow blowers Plants grass flowers trees and shrubs Waters lawn and shrubs using hose or activating fixed or portable sprinkler system Landscapes new areas by shoveling and raking topsoil Operates tractor equipped with attachments such as mowers lime or fertilizer spreaders and lawn roller Prepares and maintains athletic fields campus gazebos decks landscapes and signs Paints parking lot lines curbs gates and signs Repairs and/or replaces guard rails installs and/or repairs sidewalks curbs and pavement Operates jack hammer power auger lawn edger tractor loaderbackhoe salter spreaders and other related equipment Routine cleaning of grounds equipment as needed Operates college equipment such as forklift bucket truck high lift and backhoe
Entry Salary $32,881 annual Standard Work Week 40 hours Apply End Date March 15 2026

The institution will implement procedures and measures designed to ensure that employees students applicants and visitors to the campus or any site or program of the College are not discriminated against on the basis of race color gender sexual orientation disability age veteran status national origin religion marital status political affiliation ancestry union membership and use of a guide or support animal because of blindness deafness or physical handicap in the administration of its educational programs activities admission or employment practices. Any acts of reprisal retaliation or harassment taken against an individual because he/she has filed a discrimination complaint testified about matters related to a compliant or otherwise assisted a complaint inquiry are forbidden and may result in severe disciplinary action.
