You report directly to the Plant Manager and serve as the point person for all food safety and quality systems across the facility. Your morning starts on the floor—verifying pre-op sanitation, checking CCP records, and aligning with Operations on the day’s production plan. By mid-morning, you’re conducting audit readiness checks as the facility’s SQF Practitioner, Food Defense Coordinator, and Recall Coordinator, ensuring documentation and practices are airtight. The afternoon brings cross-functional problem-solving with Purchasing, Product Management, Commercial teams, and Plant FSQA, followed by coaching, CAPA reviews, and a training session on GMPs, HACCP, and product quality standards. You close the day by reviewing KPIs and communicating performance and risks to senior leadership—reinforcing accountability where standards aren’t met.
