HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:

Physician Practice Supervisor – Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare Physician Partners

The Physician Practice Supervisor oversees the daily operations of our primary care medical clinic. This role ensures efficient workflow, high-quality patient experience, adherence to regulatory standards, and effective support for physicians and clinical staff. The supervisor acts as a key operational leader, balancing people management, scheduling, financial performance, and process improvement.


Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Manage day‑to‑day clinic operations to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient administrative processes.
  • Oversee appointment scheduling, provider templates, check-in/out procedures, and front-desk operations.
  • Implement and monitor compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Staff Supervision

  • Directly supervise medical assistants, front‑office staff, and other support roles.
  • Conduct hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective actions as needed.
  • Coordinate staffing schedules to meet patient volume and provider needs.

Financial & Business Management

  • Monitor financial performance, including revenue cycle elements such as copay collection, charge capture, documentation completeness, and denials.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and productivity tracking.
  • Support implementation of cost‑saving or revenue‑enhancing initiatives.

Patient Experience & Quality

  • Resolve escalated patient concerns or service issues.
  • Support quality improvement projects (e.g., wait time reduction, care coordination, clinical workflows).
  • Promote patient access improvements such as telehealth integration or extended hours.

Provider Support

  • Serve as the operational point of contact for physicians and advanced practice providers.
  • Coordinate with providers to optimize clinic operations and address logistical challenges.
  • Assist with onboarding of new clinicians and workflow orientation.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY:

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in a medical office, outpatient clinic, or healthcare administrative setting.
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical practice operations, EHR workflows, and revenue cycle basics.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
