The Greenhouse is seeking an experienced and hospitality-focused Front of House Manager to lead our service team and ensure exceptional guest experiences. This position is responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations, including dining room service, staff development, guest relations, reservations, and daily service execution.

Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and motivate front-of-house team members, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and support staff.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily service priorities, menu updates, and operational goals.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new front-of-house employees.
- Provide ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and accountability to team members.
- Foster a positive, professional, and guest-focused work environment.
- Serve as Manager on Duty during assigned shifts and provide leadership during service.
Guest Experience
- Ensure all guests receive exceptional hospitality and service throughout their dining experience.
- Maintain and enforce The Greenhouse's service standards and hospitality expectations.
- Actively engage with guests, build relationships, and promote repeat business.
- Address guest concerns and service recovery situations promptly and professionally.
- Oversee reservation management, seating flow, waitlists, and special guest requests.
- Support private dining events, special promotions, and community engagement initiatives.
Front of House Operations
- Manage daily opening, service, and closing procedures for the dining room and bar.
- Monitor service flow and staffing levels to maximize efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards are maintained throughout all guest-facing areas.
- Coordinate communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to ensure seamless service execution.
- Maintain company policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Assist with scheduling and labor management for front-of-house staff.
Financial & Administrative Responsibilities
- Utilize Toast POS for daily operations, reporting, and cash management.
- Ensure accurate cash handling, tip reporting, and end-of-day reconciliation procedures.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue through hospitality-driven initiatives.
- Assist with beverage inventory counts, ordering, and cost control efforts.
- Support labor management goals while maintaining service excellence.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required administrative duties.
Food Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all health department regulations and food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Enforce sanitation and workplace safety procedures among all front-of-house staff.
- Ensure all team members follow responsible alcohol service guidelines and company policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of restaurant management or supervisory experience in a full-service restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of front-of-house operations, hospitality standards, and guest service excellence.
- Proven ability to lead, train, and develop service teams.
- Experience with Toast POS or similar restaurant management systems.
- Strong communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
- Food Safety Certification and responsible alcohol service certification preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.

- Experience in upscale casual or chef-driven dining environments.
- Strong knowledge of wine, cocktails, and beverage service.
