Front of House / Bar Manager
Location: Dive Bar & Grille
Position Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $10–$13/hour + tips
Position Overview: Dive Bar & Grille is seeking a hands-on, energetic Front of House / Bar Manager to lead daily service operations while actively working on the floor. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, leads by example, and is passionate about delivering a great guest experience. You’ll be responsible for overseeing front-of-house operations, managing the bar program, supporting staff, and ensuring every guest has a consistent, welcoming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Service- Lead all front-of-house and bar operations during shifts
- Actively work the floor (serving, bartending, hosting as needed)
- Ensure high standards of service, cleanliness, and organization
- Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally
Bar Management- Oversee bar operations, including cocktail execution and service standards
- Monitor inventory, ordering, and product levels
- Ensure proper liquor handling and compliance with all alcohol regulations
- Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked bar areas
Staff Leadership- Supervise, coach, and support front-of-house and bar staff
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
- Create a positive, accountable, team-oriented work environment
- Lead by example during high-volume service periods
Scheduling & Performance- Assist with staff scheduling to meet business needs
- Monitor labor efficiency and productivity during shifts
- Provide ongoing feedback and performance coaching
Sales & Guest Experience- Drive sales through upselling, promotions, and events
- Build relationships with regular guests and enhance customer loyalty
- Ensure a fun, engaging atmosphere consistent with the Dive Bar & Grille brand
Qualifications- 2+ years of restaurant and/or bar leadership experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of bar operations, cocktails, and service standards
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
