Job Summary
Purpose or Role of the Position.
Front Desk Associates for the Counseling Center serve in a clerical role, greeting and assisting visitors and helping with the daily administrative activities of the office. This role does not involve any counseling.
Responsibilities
Providing excellent customer service to CSU students and employees, as well as members of the public in-person and on the phone; scanning, data entry, and other administrative duties as assigned. Front Desk Associates will be scheduled for no fewer than 10 hours or more than 19 hours per week, during the hours of: Mon- Tues 8 AM, 8 PM Weds , Fri 8 AM , 5 PM. Flexible hours based on students class schedule.

Conditions of Employment

A credit check completed for Positions of Trust and or approved departmental Purchase Card usage;
Pre-employment drug testing for positions with high-risk responsibilities.
Motor vehicle reports are required for positions that are required to drive a Columbus State University fleet vehicle or other vehicle designated as a fleet vehicle. A successful drug screening will be required as a condition of employment a randomly thereafter.

Procedure for Determining Pay Rate:
Federal Work-Study (FWS) pay rates are based on the type of job, responsibilities, and skills required. Pay is set within the universitys student wage guidelines and follows federal and state minimum wage laws.
Rates may vary by position and are determined in coordination with Financial Aid, based on available funding and the students FWS award.
