Freight Agent – Remote – 3PL (PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION as this is a 1099 - commission only opportunity)

This is a remote / work-from-home opportunity for someone with a dedicated client base that would like to maximize their earning potential in a commission-only structure.  
Our client is a growing, very well-established logistics provider that offers a lot of creative freedom, a strong commission structure and strong business assets within the logistics space (dedicated warehousing and their own fleet).   Please note that this is a 1099 role and commission only, although the company is willing to guarantee the first few months of pay until your commission starts rolling in.

Position Summary
We are looking for a high-performing professional to operate within an end-to-end logistics framework where you maintain complete ownership of your portfolio. This independent, remote-based role is designed for a sales-driven individual who manages the entire lifecycle of a shipment, from the initial pitch to the final delivery. Unlike traditional brokerages, this position is backed by extensive corporate assets, including a private fleet and dedicated warehousing, giving you a competitive edge in capacity and reliability


Key Responsibilities
  • Portfolio Growth: Lead the charge in identifying and securing new shipping partners through strategic outreach and professional networking.
  • Consultative Selling: Analyze specific shipping requirements to provide tailored, economical, and efficient supply chain options.
  • Strategic Sourcing: Build and maintain a diverse carrier network across all modes, including specialized and standard hauling services.
  • Negotiation & Pricing: Secure competitive market rates while maintaining healthy profit margins and ensuring all service standards are met.
  • Operational Oversight: Supervise every stage of the shipment process, including dispatching, real-time transit updates, and resolving any logistical hurdles.
  • Administrative Precision: Handle all necessary documentation, including quotes and accurate data entry into proprietary management software.
  • Compliance Management: Vet all carrier partners for proper insurance, licensing, and performance history to mitigate risk.
Requirements
  • Professional Background: At least 2–3 years of successful experience in logistics sales, brokerage, or transportation management.
  • Lifecycle Expertise: Proven familiarity with a full-cycle business model, managing both the sales and operational sides of freight independently.
  • Financial Motivation: A strong desire to influence your own income, with expected monthly earnings in the $12,000–$15,000 range.
  • Relationship Management: A track record of building and retaining a book of business that can be successfully transitioned.
  • Core Skills: Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities, coupled with a self-starter mindset.
  • Technical Literacy: Proficiency in using industry-standard logistics software and general office productivity tools.
  • Work Ethic: Highly motivated, autonomous, and capable of maintaining performance standards in a flexible environment.
