What We Offer:
Position Summary: Strategically execute our franchising of the Quik Stop brand. Lead financial assessments of the business for direction on franchising with focus on delivering the highest level of standards and profitability to for the company this will include evaluating the need for capital investment into the facilities and assets of the company in addition to oversight of the fuel and forecourt strategies. Establish budgets for alignment with the company objectives including franchise fee assessments, fuel CPG expectations, expenses in facility management and capital investment. Collaborate and coordinate the support for the franchisees based on contractual agreements. Manage the franchise relationships including breach of contract and new franchisee onboarding. Review and approve all equity expectations and draw requests of every franchise owner. Utilize the regional operations team for guidance for the franchisees for increasing sales and remaining compliant with the retail laws established in California.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning for Franchise management
Financial review and evaluation of all site
Franchise Contract Management (Legal Annual Agreements and Disclosure Documents)
Liaison with Company departments and Franchisees
Evaluation of Franchisee alignment to the contract commitments
Assessing and assigning franchises to prospective franchisees
Coordination of assumption of business from Franchisees to company stores
Oversight and approval on capital spending at Franchise locations
Communication of business needs at franchise locations
Audit review of Franchise operational activities
Audit and review of all required inventory and equity requirements
Audit and review all requests for draws
Approve distribution of expenses based on contract alignments
Collaborate with the operations team for support for training of both new and continuing franchisees
Collaborate with the operations and merchandising teams for support on reset and pricing activity
Collaborate to drive fuel sales with the Franchisees and company fuel pricing team
Working Relationships: Interacts internally & externally with executive level management, Requires negotiation of extremely difficult
matters; Influences policymaking bodies both internally & externally. Critical collaboration with finance,
operations, merchandising and all support functions of the organization with the US.
Requirements
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience with success measures for evaluation
Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree
Minimum Experience: 5 years' experience or equivalent professional experience
Preferred Experience: Business Management and leadership
Soft Skills:Effective communication, possess analytical abilities, act strategically and plan and manage execution of initiatives. Must be able to make smart and tough decisions. Ability to establish positive working relations across the organization and with operational support team
Travel: Quarterly Market Visit (CA/NV)
Hours & Conditions: 40-50 hours in a field and corporate environment
Physical Requirements: Ability to maneuver and regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds, and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Cumberland Farms is a privately owned family run business that has been around for almost sixty years with a corporate facility in Framingham, MA. We started back in the 50’s and through the years have grown to over 600 convenience stores ranging from Maine to Delaware as well as a group of stores in Florida.
In 2005, Cumberland Farms completed the acquisition of Gulf Oil LP and is now known as The Cumberland Gulf Group.
In May of 2009 Cumberland Farms and Gulf Oil moved into our new state-of-the-art business support campus in Framingham, Massachusetts. It is a beautiful, remarkable facility that will help lift both of these great companies to new heights for years to come.
