PGS Worldwide is seeking an FPGA Digital Design Engineer in Linthicum, MD for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The FPGA Digital Design Engineer will support digital technology development for space environment applications. This role includes designing, developing, modifying, and evaluating FPGA technology, digital electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, and hardware systems. The position requires FPGA firmware experience, high-speed SERDES experience, and experience with Microchip and Xilinx FPGA tools and technologies.
Required Skills
• U.S. citizenship required.
• FPGA firmware experience.
• High-speed SERDES experience, including 10G.
• Microchip FPGA experience.
• RTG4 FPGA Libero tool set experience.
• Xilinx FPGA experience.
• Xilinx UltraScale+ experience.
• Xilinx Vivado experience.
• Xilinx Zynq SOC/FPGA experience.
• Experience designing, developing, modifying, or evaluating digital electronic parts, components, or integrated circuitry.
• Experience supporting digital electronic equipment or hardware systems.
• Ability to determine design approaches and parameters.
• Ability to analyze equipment, establish operating data, conduct experimental tests, and evaluate results.
• Ability to select components and equipment based on specifications and reliability.
Preferred Skills
• Digital Signal Processing design experience.
• OSVVM experience.
• QuestaSim experience.
• Simulation test bench development experience.
What You’ll Do
• Design FPGA technology for space environment applications.
• Design, develop, modify, and evaluate digital electronic components and integrated circuitry.
• Support digital electronic equipment and hardware system development.
• Determine digital design approaches and technical parameters.
• Analyze equipment and establish operating data.
• Conduct experimental tests and evaluate test results.
• Select components and equipment based on specification and reliability analysis.
• Review vendor capability to support product development as needed.
• Support digital technology development in an onsite engineering environment.
Work Schedule / Shift
• Monday-Friday, 5x8 schedule.
Pay
• $89.77 per hour
