I am helping a YC W25 seed-stage startup find a founding-level engineer to build an AI-native platform for defense and aerospace supply chains. They are replacing 40-year-old legacy systems with autonomous operations and already have 7-figure ARR.
This is a strictly on-site role in San Francisco. Relocation and visa sponsorship (E2/O-1) are available for the right person.
The Mission:
You will architect and build full-stack systems from scratch that integrate modern AI with complex, legacy industrial environments. You will own features end-to-end, from database schema design to the frontend.
Real Requirements:
* Full-stack mastery: Advanced TypeScript/JavaScript and experience with Svelte, React, or Next.js.
* SQL depth: Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL (complex queries and optimization).
* Proof of work: You must have a portfolio of shipped work (GitHub, live app, or video demo).
* Independence: You can architect systems and make technical decisions without hand-holding.
* Presence: You must be in SF or ready to relocate immediately.
Responsibilities:
* Building robust full-stack systems from zero.
* Modernizing legacy industrial infrastructure via modern software.
* Owning high-value supply chain features end-to-end.
* Shipping fast in an ambiguous, high-accountability environment.
The Process:
1. Initial Call: Chat with me (Hubert) to see if we're a match.
2. Tech Screening: Deep dive into your technical skills.
3. Founder Call: Quick sync with the founder.
4. On-site: We fly you out to SF HQ for an in-person session (expenses covered).
5. Offer.
