Formulation Technician

Job Title: Formulation Technician
Location: Orangeburg, NY
Type: Contract
Compensation: $21.00 to $24.00
Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm

Responsibilities

• Maintain production area in a clean and orderly manner consistent with GMP standards
• Handle Biological Materials and Hazardous materials safely
• Perform tank clean out, sterilization, and maintenance
• Prepare glassware, filters, and other production materials necessary for production runs
• Follow production schedules for manufacturing processes
• Understand and adhere to quality procedures
• Operate equipment such as centrifuges, filtration units, pH meters, balances, and mixers
• Utilize SAP or other enterprise management software (preferred)

Requirements

• AS or BS degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences, or high school diploma with 3-4 years of relevant experience
• Formulations experience with Liquid or solid formulations
• Experience weighing chemicals and raw materials
• Ability to perform conversion calculations (mg/ml to kg/l)
• Experience measuring aqueous solutions
• Prior batch making experience in Food, Pharmaceutical, or Chemical industries
• Working knowledge of formulation sheets
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols
