Forklift Operator

Start your new career as a Forklift Operator with MAU at West Marine in Rock Hill, SC. As a Forklift Operator, you will safely stage, wrap, and load outbound shipments while operating warehouse equipment to support efficient shipping and distribution operations. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

What Were Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed
• Commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures
• Previous experience operating forklifts, pallet riders, stock pickers, or similar equipment preferred
• Familiarity with RF scanners and warehouse picking systems preferred

What Youll Do as a Forklift Operator:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, reach trucks, order pickers, and other warehouse equipment safely
• Pull, stage, wrap, and secure outbound shipments for transport
• Load trailers, trucks, and containers by hand or using warehouse equipment
• Verify shipment accuracy using manifests, load sheets, and work orders
• Inspect and secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Utilize RF scanners to track and manage inventory
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and report discrepancies or damages
• Stock and organize products in designated warehouse locations
• Handle hazardous materials in compliance with safety regulations
• Perform pre-operational equipment inspections and report safety concerns
• Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
• Work in varying warehouse temperatures and physically demanding conditions
