JOBSUMMARY
This positionis responsible foroperatingthe forklift to move product and materials around the facility in an efficient manner while adhering to all established safety policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Comply withWestlakeSafety Policiesand Procedures

• Regular attendance,timelinessand scheduling flexibility

• Operate forklift in a safe and effective manner and follow all safety and companypolicies

• Inside forklift driver:

• Feed the production lines by removing wet tile racks and putting dry tile racks on theline

• Transport tiles between the racking section of the tile machine and the cure bays using a forklift to remove racks of wet tiles, placing them in the curebaysand removing cured tiles and placing them back in the racking machine for furtherprocessing

• Outside forklift driver:

• Load trucks with the proper tile color and profile,in a timely manner

• Responsible for unloadinginner-companytransfer trucks, as well asassistancewith unloading other shipment materials, intimelymanner

• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure safe and efficient operation.Notify the Line Supervisor of any safety or maintenance problemsimmediately

• All other duties as assigned bysupervisor

KNOWLEDGE,SKILLSAND ABILITIES

• Basic mathematical skills (i.e.ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide)

• Good communicationskills

• Team player, reliable and high work ethic

EDUCATIONAND/OR EXPERIENCE

• Able to read,comprehendand follow simple instructions,required.

• High School Diploma preferred

• 1 year of related experience

EQUIPMENT AND SPECIAL MATERIALS

• Forklift, mixers, air driven pumps, moisturebalanceand dust collector system.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKENVIRONMENT

The employee shouldpossessthe ability to:

• Be exposed to sounds or noise levels thatmaybe uncomfortable

• Withstand exposure to temperature extremes inside or out

• Prolong standing or in stationary position

• Complete repetitive movements

• Bend and/or twist

• Lift/move/transport items up to50 pounds

• Ability to move or traverse about the facilities

• Ability to work around dust, chemicals, and other substances, and in various environmental conditions

• Wear all required personal protective equipment (hearing,visionand hardhat protection)

$20.35 per hour

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US markets. The pay range is based on relevant market data in our lowest and highest geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, experience, and skillset. Westlake is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, sign on payments, and other forms of compensation may be offered as part of a total compensation package (also to include a full range of medical and other benefits).
