Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Forklift Operator to manage the movement of materials and products within our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Handling:

  • Operate forklifts to transport raw materials, finished goods, and other items to designated locations within the plant.

  • Load and unload materials from trucks or storage areas with precision and care.

  • Ensure materials are stacked and stored properly to prevent damage or hazards.

  • Inventory Management:

  • Track and record material movements using inventory management systems or manual documentation.

  • Conduct routine inventory checks and report discrepancies to the supervisor.

  • Assist in maintaining accurate stock levels and organization in the warehouse.

  • Equipment Maintenance:

  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts and report any issues or malfunctions.

  • Follow proper operating procedures to extend equipment lifespan and minimize wear.

  • Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety regulations.

  • Participate in safety training and contribute to a safe working environment.

  • Collaboration:

  • Work closely with production, shipping, and receiving teams to ensure timely and efficient material movement.

  • Communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and resolve any logistical challenges.

SHIFTS:

  • 1st: 7 am - 5:30 pm + mandatory overtime, Monday - Thursday (Fridays/Weekends may be required at times)
  • 3rd: 7 pm - 5:30 am + mandatory overtime, Monday - Thursday (Fridays/Weekends may be required at times)

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of forklift operation experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse safety and material handling best practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.

Working Conditions

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing or warehouse environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • Overtime, when needed, is mandatory and required.
