Job Title: Sit-Down Quad Forklift Operator
Location: Hughson, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday - Saturday
Start Time: 6:00 AM (Up to 12-hour shifts)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sit-Down Quad Forklift Operator to join our team in Hughson, CA. This position requires operating a specialized quad forklift, a larger and wider forklift commonly used in construction and cannery environments. The operator will be responsible for safely transporting and stacking heavy bins throughout the facility.
This is an indoor/outdoor warehouse position, with most of the work performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme heat. Operators will also occasionally work inside a refrigerated environment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a sit-down quad forklift to move, load, unload, and stack heavy double-stacked bins.
- Transport materials throughout indoor and outdoor work areas.
- Maintain safe operation while working in tight spaces and around other equipment and personnel.
- Perform daily forklift inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all company safety policies and operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of recent sit-down forklift experience required.
- Experience operating large or quad forklifts is highly preferred.
- Ability to safely move heavy, double-stacked bins up to 4,000 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in hot weather and occasionally inside refrigerated areas.
- Ability to work long shifts, including up to 12 hours per day.
- Must be dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Non slip or composite-toe boots required.
Requirements
- Must successfully complete and pass an on-site forklift road test at the facility before placement.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. when needed.
- Must be able to stand, bend, walk, and work in varying weather conditions throughout the shift.
- Reliable transportation and excellent attendance are required.
