Job Summary

The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of powered industrial trucks to move raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the manufacturing facility while adhering to all safety, quality, and operational procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently • Load, unload, transport, stack, and stage materials • Supply production lines with materials • Perform daily equipment inspections • Assist in monthly inventory count • Follow all safety policies and procedures • Maintain inventory accuracy and documentation • Assist with shipping and receiving activities • Maintain housekeeping standards • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED is required Minimum 1 year forklift experience preferred Forklift certification required or ability to obtain

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

• Sit and work on a computer stand • Use hands, handle, or feel • Reach with hands and arms • Stand from 10 to 12 hours per day • Drive a motor vehicle • Work around and close to rotating equipment • Walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl • Talk or hear • Sit and climb or balance • Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds • Frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds • Specific vision abilities required include: • Close vision • Distance vision • Color vision • Peripheral vision • Ability to adjust focus
