Title: Forklift Operator - Dispatcher
Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor
Department: Warehouse
JOB SUMMARY:
To ship and receive finished goods items
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Load outbound freight using proper loading techniques and patterns.
- Direct inbound and outbound trailers safely through the gates and yard. Ensure that truck is backed up to the dock correctly and the wheels are chocked.
- Inspect trucks for sanitary and food safety concerns – enter into Safety Chain
- Record outbound freight in PRIMS using the tablet application
- Prepare materials and product for shipment to Brooklyn and various customers
- Identify damages
- Report shortages
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Perform inventory counts as required
- Maintain warehouse in clean orderly fashion
- Double wrap all pallets before shipment
- Ensure stretch wrapper settings are correct for the item being wrapped.
- Perform safety checks on material handling equipment before use.
- Charge material handling equipment after use. Add water to batteries as needed.
- Comply with company GMP policies and guidelines
- Other duties assigned by Management.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3 years of experience as forklift operator
- Attention to detail
- Valid certification to operate forklift
- High school diploma
- Able to lift 80 lbs
