The Forklift Loader – Truck Loader is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading trucks carrying roofing panels, coils, and other building materials. This role requires forklift experience, knowledge of warehouse operations, and a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork. The Forklift Loader supports smooth material flow and proper inventory handling throughout the warehouse.
Shift: 2nd Shift | 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM
Safely operate forklifts to load and unload trucks and trailers
Load roofing panels, steel coils, and building materials according to load plans
Scan all orders being loaded onto delivery trucks
Verify load accuracy and ensure materials match shipping and load documents
Stack, organize, and store materials in designated warehouse locations
Ensure proper weight distribution and truck mapping to prevent overloading
Document material movements to support accurate inventory records
Identify and report damaged materials to supervisors
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
Perform routine housekeeping and safety checks
Follow all forklift safety procedures and warehouse safety policies
Conduct pre‑operational forklift inspections and report maintenance issues
Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
Participate in safety training and promote a strong safety culture
Work closely with warehouse staff and supervisors to support daily operations
Assist with bi‑annual plant inventory counts
Perform other warehouse‑related duties as assigned
1–2 years of forklift operation experience in a warehouse or industrial setting
Strong knowledge of forklift operation and material handling procedures
Ability to read and understand load orders, shipping documents, and inventory records
Experience loading trucks with attention to weight limits and balance
Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Ability to work evening and overnight hours
Physical ability to lift, move, and handle heavy materials
