Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Forklift Driver to join our client in Plainfield, IN. As a vital member of the warehouse team, you will operate various types of forklifts to efficiently handle raw materials, in-process items, and finished products. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in forklift operation who are looking to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts equipped with lifting devices (such as clamps, elevating platforms, and trailer hitches) to move materials within the warehouse, storage yard, or factory.
Load and unload materials from semi-trailer trucks, ensuring all products are handled safely and securely.
Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies to management promptly.
Load and unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or other lifting devices as needed.
Perform routine safety checks on forklifts and other lifting equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
Lubricate forklifts, recharge batteries, fill fuel tanks, or replace liquefied-gas tanks as required.
Oversee inventory control processes, tracking and reporting using a materials management system.
Organize and assign storage space for materials effectively to maintain an efficient workflow.
Qualifications:

Proven experience operating forklifts and/or clamp trucks.
Proficient in maneuvering forklifts through narrow aisles, ramps, and truck beds while adhering to safety protocols.
Strong spatial awareness with the ability to judge heights, widths, and weights of loads.
Familiarity with the layout of storage areas to efficiently locate and place items.
Ability to handle loads safely, ensuring proper balance and stability.
Capacity to exert physical force as needed: occasionally lifting 20 to 50 pounds, frequently lifting 10 to 25 pounds, and consistently moving objects of less than 10 pounds.
