Job Title: Stand-Up Forklift Operator

Job Overview:
The Stand-Up Forklift Operator is responsible for safely operating a stand-up forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise in the warehouse. This position requires working efficiently to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of products while adhering to safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate stand-up forklifts to move materials and products within the warehouse or storage facility.
• Load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, and shelves using a stand-up forklift.
• Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse, ensuring proper storage and organization.
• Stack and arrange items on racks and shelves to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse layout.
• Perform regular inventory checks and assist in stocktaking.
• Inspect forklifts for any safety or mechanical issues before use and report any problems.
• Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety guidelines and protocols.
• Assist in the packaging and preparation of products for shipment when needed.
• Follow all warehouse procedures and protocols, including handling hazardous materials if applicable.
• Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations and address any issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience operating stand-up forklifts (experience with other forklifts is also a plus).
• Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and forklift operation standards.
• Ability to lift heavy loads and operate the forklift for extended periods.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Forklift certification (may be required depending on company policy).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods and operate a stand-up forklift.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in a noisy and sometimes physically demanding environment.
