About this Job
Division: The Community Forensics Services Department at the Courthouse in Covington, LA.
The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric are in coordination with the total system of care in Louisiana
The Community Forensics Services Departments seeking a passionate officer who will provide direct services to clients in regions 1, 9, and 10, including home visits, regular communication with the court, attorneys, probation officer and other entities providing services, and facilitating competency restoration services in jail and in the community.
Minimum Qualifications
A master's degree in a social science field, social work, behavioral health field, public health, education, or health administration plus four years of experience providing behavioral health treatment; OR
A Juris Doctorate plus three years of experience providing behavioral health treatment; OR
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Certified Social Worker (CSW) plus three years of experience providing behavioral health treatment.
