The Impact You’ll Make

  • Ensure uptime of critical kitchen operations by diagnosing, repairing, installing, and removing commercial equipment.
  • Maintain hot-side cooking systems, sealed-system refrigeration, specialty foodservice equipment, and foundational HVAC for the building.
  • Respond quickly to Operator requests within agreed service levels to keep restaurants running smoothly.
  • Service leading brands: Henny Penny, Follett, Lennox (HVAC), Traulsen, Hobart mixers, Champion dishwashers, Garland Grill.
  • Leverage manufacturer support for complex diagnostics and parts identification; collaborate with the Chick-fil-A Technical Assistance Team while onsite.

  • Keep your vehicle, tools, and parts meticulously organized.
  • Answer the call for emergency support outside standard hours.
  • Champion safe work practices and proactive accident prevention.
  • Invest in your growth through OEM training and certifications; partner with suppliers and vendors within the service ecosystem.
  • Consistently meet productivity expectations aligned with company standards.

Growth Starts with Your Background

  • Technical trade school training and/or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant trade work (or comparable experience).
  • Expertise in one or more areas: sealed refrigeration/HVAC systems, electrical, mechanical, process controls, hot-side cooking equipment, mechanical power transmission.
  • Experience servicing kitchen equipment, facilities, or construction systems.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Valid state driver’s license and proof of insurance; safe driving record (MVR required).
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles.
  • Advanced troubleshooting aptitude; fluent in reading schematics/diagrams.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel, and mobile service applications.
  • Excellent communication; self-directed with a positive, service-focused attitude.

Where and How You’ll Work

  • Travel: 100% within a defined local market.
  • Overnights: Limited; primarily for onboarding and training.
  • Physical: Work extended periods when priorities demand (including overtime); lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs; climb ladders and stairs up to two stories (ladder safety training provided; roof access ladders available; van loading/unloading of a large ladder is not typical); frequent bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; extended standing/walking on varied surfaces; frequent use of arms, wrists, and hands for tools and machinery; indoor/outdoor work in changing weather.
