HAS AN OPENING FOR A PART-TIME DRIVER
IN THE FOOD SERVICES DEPARTMENT
The Part-Time driver position is a 30 hour per week 10 month position at $20.00 an hour or $23,400 per contract year.
Candidate must possess the following:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must possess a legal driver's license and meet state/local requirements for vehicle operators/ CDL a plus, but not necessary
- Communicate effectively and maintain cordial relationships with food service employees and all other district staff members
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, wipe, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions
- The physical ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds up and down stairs 100% of the time
- Ability to do mathematical calculations and be computer literate
- Must be clean and neat in appearance, follow uniform policies set forth by the School District and local Health Officials
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. Citizenship or legal resident alien status
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Shall perform in accordance with the negotiated agreement between the Board of Education and the Teamster's Local No. 97.
- Represents the department in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner in all customer and employee interactions.
- Adheres to sanitation and safety standards in compliance with Health Department, HACCP, and Bio-Security policies.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary service vehicle; communicate vehicle problems to the Food Service Director and Transportation Department.
- Responsible for delivery and pick up of food and supplies to school by designated time.
- Responsible for delivery, set-up, and retrieval of special event orders as assigned.
- Responsible for transporting district deposits in a safe and secure manner.
- Assist in ordering, receiving and inventorying supplies as necessary.
- Maintains required forms as assigned.
- Must attend scheduled meetings and training relative to job responsibilities.
- Shall perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director consistent with this job description.
