The DeForest Area School District is seeking a Food Services Manager to administer the district's day-to-day food service operations. This role involves overseeing federal programs (National School Lunch/Breakfast Programs), managing catering and ala carte services, supervising food service staff, managing supplies and equipment, and fostering positive relationships within the school and community.This position will report to the Business Services Manager.

Duties and Key Responsibilities Include:
Operational & Personnel Management: Directing daily operations, ensuring proper food handling, coordinating student catering, and supervising all school nutrition staff, including hiring, training, and performance monitoring.
Compliance & Safety: Ensuring strict adherence to local, state, and federal laws, public safety, and health standards, including HACCP and sanitation certification requirements.
Nutrition & Financial Oversight: Assisting with financial tracking, recordkeeping, menu planning based on nutritional adequacy and federal regulations, and collecting/entering menu nutrient data.
Marketing & Community: Carrying out marketing strategies to promote the program, communicating program information to stakeholders, and being a resource for nutrition education.
