Job Summary and Qualifications HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is a 100-bed acute care hospital. We offer a wide variety of healthcare services. We are currently recruiting for a Food & Nutrition Services Assistant to join our team. As the Food & Nutrition Services Assistant, you will perform a variety of tasks, including:

• Delivering, picking up, and recording patient trays and menus. • Maintaining current diet checklists and completing related daily reports. • Preparing food for cooking by washing, peeling, shredding, slicing, and mixing various food items. • Operating a dishwasher or assisting with washing, sterilizing dishes, glassware, silverware, utensils, pots, pans, etc. • Cleaning kitchen work areas, collecting, and disposing of garbage. • Assisting with food stocking. • Serving food in the cafeteria for visitors and staff and in patient rooms. • Working in the dish room when needed. • Working on the patient tray assembly line, following menu directives for determining food items for each tray. • Following Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

What Qualifications You Will Need High school diploma or GED preferred. 6 months food service experience preferred. Previous experience in hospital food services preferred.
