The FSA 1 is expected to learn and perform a variety of tasks across food service operations while adhering to safety and sanitation standardsFood Service Assistant 2:With greater independence and initiative, the Food Service Assistant 2 is responsible for performing a wide range of food service duties with proficiency and minimal supervision. In addition to core service functions, the FSA 2 assists with training new staff, helps coordinate shift activities, and demonstrates knowledge of therapeutic diets.Minimum Qualifications for the Job:Food Service Assistant 1Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.Experience: NonePreferred Experience: Previous experience in food service preferredLicense(s): NoneCertification(s): Must obtain a State of Alaska Food Workers Card or Serve Safe within 30 days of hire.Food Service Assistant 2Education: High School Diploma or the equivalent preferredExperience: One (1) year of experience as an FSA 1 or comparable experience in a food service setting.Preferred Experience: experience in an institutional food service setting is preferred.License(s): NoneCertification(s): State of Alaska Food Workers Card or Serve SafePractice Notices:All new employees are required to produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to start of employment.
