Join our Nutrition Services team and play an important role in supporting patient care through meal service operations. The Food Service Worker is responsible for assembling and distributing patient meals, assisting patients with menu selections, maintaining tray assembly stations, and ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. This position also supports dishroom and pot room operations, delivers snacks and meal trays, maintains inventory and stock rotation, and helps create a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff. xe2x80xa2 Demonstrated experience in food service operations, including tray assembly, meal delivery, food handling, and customer service.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English, including the ability to understand oral and written instructions and accurately identify menu selections and food items.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate as a member of a team to meet service and production goals.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations accurately without the use of a calculator.
xe2x80xa2 Basic knowledge of therapeutic and modified diets, food service procedures, and food safety practices.
xe2x80xa2 Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with patients, families, coworkers, medical staff, supervisors, and management.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to maintain a professional appearance and comply with departmental dress code and grooming standards.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive physical activities, including bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
xe2x80xa2 Ability to safely move meal carts, food supplies, and equipment, including lifting and pushing heavy carts as required.
