Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | Variable Hours/Variable Days

PLEASE NOTE: This position requires flexibility in working variable hours to include day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Salary Range: $18.09 and up, depending on experience Shift Differentials: $1.04 extra for working between 3:00pm - 11:00pm$1.90 extra for working between 11:01pm and 7:00am$0.81 extra for working weekends

Position Summary

The Food Service Worker performs a variety of duties related to food production and working in a food service area. Duties may include stocking food supplies; temperature monitoring; maintaining food quality and assuring that food being served looks appetizing and appealing; and maintaining the dishwashing area and equipment in a clean, sanitary ,and safe condition. Food Service Workers may also work in the cafeteria operating the cash register. Other duties may also include some routine and repetitious tasks such as washing dishes, utensils, pots and pans.

At Asante Three Rivers Medical Centers (ATRMC), all new staff will start in the dish room - providing the best way to learn team processes as well as the hospital environment and culture of safety. The starting shift also delivers patient meals.

This department is very fast paced and time and detail oriented and so the ability to deal with the public in a professional and friendly manner and to work as a team and assist fellow co-workers is essential. The ideal candidate will have a positive personality and a strong attendance/work ethic.

Position Qualifications

Experience

  • Prior food service experience, preferably in an institution, is preferred.

Certifications

  • Oregon Food Handler Card issued by an agency approved by Oregon Department of Health - or a valid food manager training certificate is required upon start.
