Performs a variety of routine duties related to the serving of food, responsible for all customer monetary transactions. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in food service cashier preferred. Must have math and customer relations skills. Must be able to work in hot and humid areas. Greets all customers promptly and courteously. Handles all financial matters in a responsible manner. Balances the cash drawer on a daily basis and is responsible for maintaining accurate customer transactions. Assist in setting up serving area and serves customers in accordance with established schedule and procedure. Cleans the cafeteria dining area and customer service area following infection control and HACCP guidelines. Informs supervisor of all supply and equipment needs. Maintains adequate food and nonfood supplies during meal service. Communicates all customer related comments and/or complaints to the appropriate supervisor. Completes all documentation requirements, temperature logs, cleaning schedule, daily deposits, etc. Understands standard isolation procedures and HACCP guidelines. Understands role in hospitals fire, safety and disaster programs. Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
