GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Food Service Sales Manager is responsible for promoting Piccadilly Food Service (PFS) and Piccadilly Emergency Services (PES) and acquiring food service accounts/contracts. A special focus should be placed on the S. Louisiana market, but this position will be responsible for PFS sales and promotion in other areas as well. They will be required to source and follow up on leads, as well as meet with potential clients throughout the sales process. They will be involved in the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and will assist in pro-forma, proposal, and contract development. They must work and coordinate with the operators on food service accounts and continue to follow up with clients after account acquisition to ensure they are satisfied.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Constantly takes the initiative to uncover new customer opportunities by developing prospect pipeline and be comfortable networking to increase contacts to help analyze the territory/market’s potential and determine the value to the organization.
  • Meets with key clients, maintain relationships with clients to determine what is important to the customer and manage negotiations and responses to RFPs.
  • Attends bid pre-proposal conferences and meetings to assess opportunity and qualify PFS as viable bidder.
  • Compiles and submits questions regarding RFPs.
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives and effectively determines prospect readiness and prioritizes time according to which prospects are ready.
  • Must be able to manage RFP from beginning to end including but not limited to:

~ Proposal collaboration and development.

~ Development and approval of pro forma for potential and active accounts.

~ Presentation to clients with follow-up answers.

~ Contract negotiation and development.

  • Works with operators to ensure that the vision communicated to the client is fully and properly executed.
  • Follows up with existing clients to gain feedback and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Must remain current on industry trends, market activities, and competitor’s trends to develop new methods of attaining PFS and assisting in attaining new accounts.
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals to accommodate corporate goals.

~ Coordinates and assists in leading sales meetings to include site selection and agenda preparation.

  • Recommends budget, expenditures and appropriations for research and development work.
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of PFS division to conform to budgetary requirements.
  • Will represent company at trade shows and conferences to promote PFS and PES.

~ Assist with planning sales exhibits.

~ Participates in education and training conferences on selling and marketing programs.

  • Responsible for conducting sales training for Managers and/or other Team Members, as necessary.
  • You must prepare needed reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.

~ Responsible for weekly/monthly sales reports for review by supervisors.

  • Will be responsible for assisting in emergency feeding situations as a member of the Piccadilly Emergency Response Team (PERT).
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Contract Food Service sales experience preferred.
  • Five (5) plus years of sales experience preferred.
  • Superior customer service skills must respond promptly to requests for service and assistance.
  • Excellent formal presentation skills in front of both large and small groups.
  • Experience managing large territories and offering diverse products.
  • Experience in records management and Microsoft Office software is necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must have ability to read and interpret documents and reports and assess the content.
  • The ability to calculate figures and amounts as related to Operational calculations (food cost, labor cost, etc.) is necessary.
  • Reasoning ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables and understanding of necessary prioritization as well as follow-up and follow-through.
  • 50-70% of travel is required.
  • Will be required to undertake training on Piccadilly systems, including a restaurant training and orientation program.
