The VISTAs activities will build PEPs capacity to educate and build community-wide support and participation in agriculture and the local foods system in Powell.
Activities include:
- Orientation and Community Context: Learn community culture and foods stakeholders
- Outreach Systems Development: Develop and disseminate food security educational resources
- Food Security Education Systems: Build sustainable, more efficient processes so PEP staff can plan and execute education programming
- Funding and Resource Development: Identify and develop funding resources to sustain education experiences
Where appropriate, the Food Security Educator VISTA will collaborate with PEPs Local Foods VISTA.
