This full-time role involves creating and modifying product recipes, preparing samples, and managing documentation to ensure accurate formulas and nutritional information.
- Conducts sensory evaluations and evaluates ingredients to enhance product quality and reduce costs.
- Oversees R&D lab activities, manages supplies, trains technicians, and maintains organized lab operations.
- Runs plant tests, troubleshoots production issues, and develops product specifications and shelf-life studies.
- Supports quality systems, collaborates with vendors, and participates in cross-functional teams for product development and technical resolution.
- Works with sales and marketing on customer samples and product requests, ensuring timely delivery.
- Requires a Bachelor’s in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or related field, with 2+ years of food industry experience, preferably in bakery.
- Must have strong organizational, communication, and computer skills, with physical ability to perform lab and plant tasks.
- Bi-lingual ability (Spanish) is a plus. The position involves working in both office and production environments with some allergens present.
Salary ranges from $68,000 to $75,000. We offer competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.
