Job Summary The Food Runner serves as the liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure food is delivered promptly, accurately, and professionally to members and guests. This position supports dining room operations by assisting servers, maintaining service stations, and ensuring a clean, organized, and efficient service environment. Job Duties & Responsibilities - Assist servers by delivering food promptly and accurately to members and guests
- Ensure hot food leaves the kitchen quickly to maintain food quality and temperature
- Verify food orders and carefully match all food items to the correct tickets
- Greet members and guests promptly and professionally
- Deliver food to tables using proper seat positions and service standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen service stations
- Keep service areas stocked with bread, soup, condiments, and other necessary items
- Inspect plates prior to service, wiping rims and ensuring consistent presentation standards
- Assemble and label all takeout orders accurately
- Assist dining room staff by clearing soiled dishes, refilling water glasses, and resetting tables as needed
- Maintain clean and safe work areas by promptly cleaning spills and removing clutter
- Break down and clean service stations at the end of each shift
- Report member or guest concerns to management immediately
- Attend pre-shift meetings and required training sessions
- Works cooperatively with servers, culinary staff, and other team members to ensure seamless service
- Follows all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Recognizes and reports safety hazards immediately
- Understands emergency procedures and assigned responsibilities
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to club standards and policies
- Perform additional duties assigned by management
Minimum Qualifications & Experience - High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) month of restaurant, hospitality, private club, or customer service experience preferred
- Previous food runner, server assistant, or restaurant experience is a plus
- Entry-level candidates with strong customer service skills are encouraged to apply

- Ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management

Schedule Requirements - While this role offers flexibility, availability on weekends and holidays is expected on a rotating basis to support Club operations
Training - This role includes hands-on shadowing and mentorship with the Clubhouse Manager to ensure success and skill development
Travel Required Physical Demands - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, and reach
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
- Ability to safely carry food trays throughout the dining room
- Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, hot, humid, and occasionally noisy environment
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as business needs require
