Role Overview

Sodexo is seeking a Food Production Manager 2 to support foodservice operations at Kaiser Permanente in San Jose, California. This role is ideal for an experienced food production leader who excels at inventory management, procurement, and overseeing kitchen operations in a medium-sized facility. The Food Production Manager 2 plays a key role in ensuring client satisfaction, supporting food safety, and contributing to operational success in a healthcare environment. SodexoMagic is the joint venture partnership between NBA Hall of Famer, Earvin “Magic” Johnson and Sodexo. This strategic alliance enables us to deliver creative solutions to our clients along with our local partners throughout the communities we serve. For almost 20 years, we have provided top-level food, facilities management and integrated services to corporations, healthcare facilities, K-12 schools, colleges, universities and aviation lounges.

What You'll Do

  • Manage food production through kitchen staff while overseeing inventory management and procurement of food and supplies
  • Utilize Sodexo resources, recipes, systems, and programs to direct daily operations including production, deliveries, invoices, and procurement
  • Ensure employees have the equipment, supplies, and resources needed to meet goals, cost controls, and deadlines
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing food and physical safety standards and ensuring compliance with Sodexo and regulatory requirements
  • Control costs related to labor, inventory, equipment, and materials while making adjustments to meet budget expectations
  • Supervise employees by delegating and prioritizing tasks and monitoring operating standards
