Food Production Line Lead & GMP Champion

Day in the life

You kick off the shift aligned with the supervisor on the production plan, safety priorities, and delivery targets. You organize the crew, coordinate line set-ups, and verify materials, labels, and documentation are ready. As the line runs, you monitor quality and throughput, coach the team, react to labor gaps or short runs, and help navigate mechanical hiccups. You keep the area audit-ready and document performance. When it’s time to change over, you lead a clean, fast tear-down and reset—then capture results and hand off a clear status at shift end.

What you’ll do

• Partner with the supervisor to execute the production plan safely while meeting line efficiency and on-time delivery goals.
• Verify finished goods meet or exceed quality expectations; uphold product integrity and food safety at all times.
• Optimize labor deployment in real time in response to labor shortages, short production runs, and mechanical interruptions.
• Coordinate line set-ups, changeovers, and tear-downs for smooth transitions.
• Prepare pallet tags, labels, and required production documentation with accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production area aligned with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Record production performance data and communicate progress against plan.
• Assist with employee training; coach and teach team members to standard work.
• Support Inventory Management, including cycle counting and basic inventory controls.
• Take on other duties as assigned by management.

What you bring

• Minimum 2 years of experience in production operations.
• Bilingual: ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish.
• Strength in leadership and people management; able to coach and teach effectively.
• Working knowledge of Inventory Management & Control.
• Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
